330 Bus - Large Scale Real-Time Power Systems Simulation
This video presents a 330-bus power system model that can be simulated in Real-Time on the eMEGAsim Real-Time Simulator
Real-Time Simulation of such very large power systems can be achieved using an eMEGAsim Simulator incorporating:
- Multi-core Processors,
- High-speed, Low-latency Communication Links
- and by using the Classical State-Space method, where it is accomplished by SimPowerSystems and Opal-RT variable step solvers
The Result: Real-Time Simulation can be executed using a minimum time-step of 51 microseconds on the eMEGAsim platform enabling the execution of a high number of tests of transient phenomena with highly accurate results.
