Abstract

In a rapid prototyping environment, internal combustion engine control systems are difficult to model and to simulate, especially within both fast and real-time simulation settings. A solution to the problems of long simulation times and inaccurate simulations is to combine the use of the RT-EVENTS Blockset, which works with the SIMULINK™ graphical software, at the engine modeling stage with the RT-LAB software for the distribution of the simulations on a cluster of microprocessors and for the control and monitoring of the simulations.
