Course title:   OP-101: RT-LAB Solution for Real-Time application

Course description:  This introduction course will educate new RT-LAB user on how to use the system and to adapt Simulink model with Opal-RT software and hardware. 
We recommend all new RT-LAB users to take this class to get the maximum benefit from the Opal-RT software and hardware.

Duration:    2 days (class of 7 hours each days)

Prerequisite:  Familiar with the MATLAB / Simulink Software from The Mathworks
Language: English, French, Mandarin, Spanish

Material:  PowerPoint presentation, user manual,  Simulink and RT-LAB examples.

Objectives:  

  • Understanding the motivation to use Real-Time simulation.
  • Acquire basic technical background about model‐based design running onto an RT-LAB system.
  • Being able to interface a Simulink model with RT-LAB supported I/Os.
  • Being familiar with the hardware capability of the RT-LAB system.
  • Understanding the Application Programming Interface capability.
  • Being able to deploy a basic hardware-in-the-loop solution.
  • Understanding the basis of TestDrive and Python

Day 1

  • Module 1: Real-Time system fundamentals
  • Module2:  From Simulink model  based design to RT-LAB real-Time application

Day 2

  • Module 3: Introduction to hardware for hardware-in-the-loop application.
  • Module4:  RT-LAB features and applications
