Abstract
The development of the EMBRAER 170 Jet has benefited from an expanded modeling and simulation capability at EMBRAER. The aerodynamics model and its accuracy became an important part of the design development phase. This paper discusses the structure of this Simulink model, how the model was matched to flight test, some of the problems encountered, and the advantages and disadvantages of the matching techniques used. RTLAB/DINAMO, the parameter estimation software used, is also presented.
